Controversial Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing, has apologised to the Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners of Nigeria, TAMPAN, and its president, Bolaji Amusan, better known as Mr Latin, over her suspension from Nollywood.

Naija News recalls that in 2021, Nkechi Blessing was involved in a social media spat with her colleague, Lege Miami, for openly condemning Nollywood actor, Baba Ijesha, for defiling the foster daughter of Nigerian comedienne, Princess.

Nkechi Blessing began the social media outburst because Lege Miami appeared sympathetic to Baba Ijesha’s plight, who was accused of sexual assault with a minor at the time.

TAMPAN frowned at the social media fight between the Nollywood actors and suspended them indefinitely from appearing on Yoruba movie sets.

Lege Miami appeared remorseful and tendered an apology, while his colleague, Nkechi Blessing, disregarded TAMPAN’s notice of suspension and called it a bluff.

However, the movie star apologized for her actions at The Celebrities Entertainment Award in Canada.

Nkechi knelt, begging the TAMPA officials for forgiveness, stating that she had missed the industry.

Why Nigerian Celebrities Bash Each Other Online

Meanwhile, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, has disclosed that social media feuds between Nigerian celebrities are most often planned.

The Nigerian entertainment scene often witnesses top celebrities fighting dirty on social media, inviting their various fanbases to participate in the fights.

Nkechi, in a recent interview with Hip TV, said celebrities who bash each other online only do so for clout and social media engagements.

According to the movie star, there is no bad blood between celebrities, but they engage in social media fights when they want to release a new single.
