Cabinet Reshuffle: Lola Ade-John Breaks Silence After Been Sacked As Minister

The recently dismissed Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade-John, has spoken out for the first time since her removal from President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.​


On Wednesday, Naija News reported that President Tinubu had sacked five ministers, including Ade-John, who was let go alongside Kennedy-Ohanenye, the Minister of Women Affairs, and Jamila Bio Ibrahim, the Minister of Youth Development.

Other ministers relieved of their posts include Tahir Mamman, the Minister of Education, and Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo, the former Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development.

In a letter addressed to the president, Ade-John expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve the nation. The letter was made public by her media aide, Elizabeth Ofili.

The letter read, “I wish to extend my sincere gratitude to you, Mr President, for the opportunity to serve Nigeria as the Honourable Minister of Tourism.

“It has been a profound honour to work toward your vision for a thriving tourism sector under the Renewed Hope Agenda, with a focus on sustainable, community-centered tourism.

“I am deeply thankful to the people of Nigeria and to the hardworking staff of the Ministry, whose dedication made our achievements possible.

“Thank you, Mr President, for your trust. It has been a privilege to contribute to this administration’s goals, and I remain committed to Nigeria’s progress
.”
