The Nigeriens were becoming more desperate looking for an equaliser, by throwing more men upfront and took full advantage of their bigger size and physicality but the more technically better Nigerian side prevailed and kept the Nigeriens at bay .

Frustration are begin to set in for the Niger, as they are coming out in their numbers desperately looking for a goal that can put the game into the penalty shouts as the game dragged into the added time.

Nigeria will now have an opportunity to defend the title won two years ago against fierce regional rival, Ghana who also defeated Cote d’ivoire in the first semi final by 2-1 .

The two finalists will represent the WAFU B region at the 2025 CAF AFCON which will in turn serve as the 2025 FIFA World Cup qualifier where the semi finalists will qualify for the World Cup.
