Galatasaray’s Michy Batshuayi has expressed his enthusiasm about having Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen join the club amid reports of rivalry.
Michy Batshuayi has emphasized that there is no sense of competition between himself, Osimhen, and Mauro Icardi, who is currently battling fitness issues.
Osimhen’s recent addition to the Istanbul giants is expected to bolster the team’s attacking prowess in the Turkish Super Lig but has sparked speculations that his arrival might offend other established forwards on the team.
Hence, the club’s coach, Okan Buruk faces the challenge of selecting from the trio of talented strikers in a manner that the team’s stability won’t be affected.
Batshuayi, however, has emphasized that all three players are united in their goal of contributing to Galatasaray’s success this season.
“There are three great forwards, all three of us are here to contribute to Galatasaray. Of course, the important thing here is the victories that Galatasaray will win,” Michy Batshuayi told the club’s official website.
“We have all found harmony together and we need to carry Galatasaray towards victories.”
The upcoming Istanbul derby against Fenerbahce presents an exciting challenge for Galatasaray, where the trio of forwards will aim to make a significant impact, especially Osimhen, whose move to the club this summer was the most dramatic.
