The PUNCH: Major oil marketers are to begin the direct purchase of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol, from the Dangote Petroleum Refinery between Thursday and next week as the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited pulls out as sole off-taker of the product from the $20bn plant.
Vanguard: Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, warned yesterday that oil production in the state will be threatened, if there was any further violence or attacks in the state. This came on a day the state government also constituted a seven-man judicial commission to investigate the arson perpetrated in the state by thugs on Monday, which resulted in the setting ablaze of four local government secretariats.
Daily Trust: Leaders of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) clashed in Abuja over those responsible for the lingering crisis in the party. The PDP has been engulfed in crisis since the conduct of the Presidential primary of the last election won.
