South Africa Premier Football League club, Orlando Pirates have announced that their Nigerian defender Olisa Ndah will be facing an extended period on the sidelines.
The club confirmed in a statement that Olisa Ndah, who joined the club from Nigeria Premier Football League club Akwa United, suffered a tibia fracture during a league match against Polokwane City.
“The Bucs medical department has confirmed that the 26-year-old has suffered a tibia fracture,” the club’s statement reads.
“Due to the location and nature of the injury, the decision on surgery is not straightforward, but based on this type of injury, Ndah has been ruled out for the rest of the year.”
Olisa Ndah, who was named Man of the Match in that game, had to be substituted in the closing minutes and has since been ruled out for the rest of the year.
This unfortunate injury also caused him to miss Nigeria’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Libya.
Meanwhile, Dževad Prekazi, a legendary figure at Galatasaray, has revealed that Victor Osimhen had initially aimed to secure a move to the English Premier League or a return to the French Ligue 1 during the previous summer transfer window.
Prekazi expressed his surprise at Osimhen’s decision to join Galatasaray, attributing the failed move to England to Napoli’s high valuation of the player.
Despite the unexpected turn of events, Prekazi believes that Osimhen’s arrival at Galatasaray will greatly benefit the team and is confident in the player’s abilities to make a significant impact.
“I couldn’t believe Osimhen, I couldn’t believe he would come to Galatasaray and that he did,” Prekazi told TRT Spor.
“He wanted to go to England, the problem was in Napoli because the transfer was a lot of money.”
He added, “I don’t know how he came to Galatasaray. It is great, he will make a great contribution, it is obvious. Nobody can keep him.”
