Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dele Momodu, has urged Nigerians to sympathise with the Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, amid the crisis rocking the state.
Recall that Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, have been entangled in a crisis over the political structure of the state.
The crisis reignited due to the outcome of the local government area election and the destruction of LG secretariats.
Naija News reports that Momodu, while commenting on a video of Wike rebuking the former governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, said the face-off between Wike and his successor is bizarre.
The veteran journalist in the post via X stated that those in power should be aware of the repercussions of tyranny.
He wrote: “A lot of people cannot understand or appreciate why we caution our friends not to abuse power but the reason is simple, the repercussion of tyranny is usually catastrophic and it may even endanger our hard-earned Democracy.
“LIFE should never be about POWER only. Here was governor Nyesom Wike rebuking his former boss, governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
“This is why we find his fight against Governor Sim Fubara very bizarre. I have never had a personal relationship with FUBARA. Never. But he deserves our sympathy.”
