A former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has submitted that there can’t be a reconciliation between the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
Fayose made the submission while reacting to the political feud between the Governor and his predecessor.
Speaking during an appearance on Channels TV Sunday politics, Fayose described the situation between Wike and Fubara as unfortunate, but insisted that the matter has gone too far for any reconciliation to take place between the two parties.
“This crisis is unfortunate, very, very unfortunate.
”I believe that the matter has crossed the Rubicon,” he said.
Expantiating, Fayose suggested that a breach of trust is responsible for the clash between the Rivers State Governor and the FCT Minister.
“It has gone far. Breach of trust even if you want to resolve this matter, where do you put the trust part? I rather want to believe that it is too far in the day to call for reconciliation,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Fayose, during the program, also described the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as embarrassing.
He said the suspension and counter-suspension by various factions of the PDP at the level of national leadership has brought the party to a new low.
The former Governor said only God’s intervention through a miracle can put the party together again.
